Purpose and goal

The overall objective was to reforming aid finances through financial analysis and the facilitation of better financial transactions. We now have a tested MVP of the service, a vetted business model and have started to show financial results for users. In one recent project, as an example, our analysis highlighted potential savings for the organisation of SEK 700k/year.

Expected results and effects

All planned results have been achieved during the project. A service is developed, with a business model and a user-centric focus both on the platform and in the entire service package. The expected direct effects are based on the service providing increased funding for users, mainly aid organisations, and improved financial management. This has begun to be realised during the project, with the first users and clients. The long-term impact will then be realised once the increased financial resources are spent in foreign aid and international development.

Planned approach and implementation

The project has been implemented in four work packages: a new service (1), a new business model (2), scaling up with financial partners (3) and increased usability (4). The project has largely been implemented according to plan. All work packages are finalised. The project has contributed to lots of lessons learned throughout all work packages. Several business models have been tested, the relationships with financial institutions reconsidered and the usability package has been deepened considerably.
