Reference number
Coordinator AZOTE AKTIEBOLAG
Funding from Vinnova SEK 500 000
Project duration June 2016 - February 2017
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The overall objective of the project, having established AidHedge, has been fulfilled. All planned activities were carried out, and basically all intermediate project milestones were exceeded. The development of service quality and relevance grew considerably after meetings with users in Ethiopia, Zambia and Rwanda. This has been made clear in the month since the launch, when Aidhedge has had about 200 visits a day, with visits from over 170 countries.

Expected results and effects

The service is launched, and the use has so far exceeded expectations. The interest has meant that the objective set for use in terms of analysed amount has been greatly exceeded. At the end of the project period currency transactions worth about 2.5 billion has been analysed. We anticipate continued strong growth of users during spring. In conversations with users, we have also been given examples of how the service can be used to plan for more effective implementation of analyzed projects.

Planned approach and implementation

All planned activities have been carried out during the project period. Overall, the implementation followed the plan. The schedule has however been in parts adjusted under way in order to adapt to changing conditions. The developed service corresponds to a much greater long-term ambition, why the service launch came a little later than planned. This coincided well with the trips to meet users, as these also ended up being organised slightly later than planned.
