Important results from the project
AIF/R´s main objective has been to contribute to the sustainable railway, with a focus on enhanced data-driven analytics empowered by AI and digital technologies. Hence, AIF/R has designed, developed, and implemented a platform and toolkit aimed for secured data and model sharing between railway stakeholders, including railway infrastructure and rolling stock.
Expected long term effects
The expected impact of AIF/R are: * Fact-based decision-making in railways * Effective and efficient operation and maintenance * Increased overall serviceably * More effective and efficient transport of goods and passengers * Increased sustainability of the railway system
Approach and implementation
The project has been executed based on an agile project management approach. The project organisation has consisted of: a) the steering board, represented by all the partners, b) the project manager; C) the coordination team, consisting the financial officer and the communication officer; and d) the execution team, consisting the researchers and students. The project findings have regularly been disseminated to parts, via seminars, workshops, and meetings. The scientific findings have been disseminated in scientific journals and conferences.
