Important results from the project
The overall aim of the Project was to identify ways to overcome specific challenges which inhibit effective collaboration and utilization of research at the University of Gothenburg (GU). WP2 focused on designing and managing collaborative research platforms with industry while Work Package 3 focused on exploring and designing forms of collaboration with the public sector. Both work packages were successful in analysing, testing and evaluating new approaches to strengthen collaboration in these areas.
Expected long term effects
WP2 resulted in the formulation of new pricing and contractual models for establishing and managing collaboration projects with industry in connection with researchers, staff and highly advanced laboratories for imaging and mass spectrometry. WP3 mapped and benchmarked existing forms of collaboration in order to develop a strategy and define a model for long-term, sustainable, collaboration with the public sector. The model was designed and tested with relevant stakeholders, including the staff and students at Handels Högskolan together with external partners.
Approach and implementation
WP2 focused developing new forms of service offerings towards industry within the area of mass spectrometric imaging. This was done using information from internal and external experts who gathered and analyzed challenges and needs for collaboration together with potential industrial partners. WP3 focused on developing a strategy and model for long-term, sustainable, collaboration with the public sector by mapping existing forms of collaboration to design a model was developed and tested in close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
