Important results from the project

We have largely met the goal of offering a complete video production tool with a special focus on user-friendliness for communicators without experience in film production and the accessibility requirements stipulated in the EU law web directive. In the development, we have created a very simple and intuitive video-editing, we have added the UN icon library for communication with people who can not read, audio tracks for visual interpretation etc. Content templates and automatic subtitles could not be implemented within the project but will come in the autumn -21.

Expected long term effects

In the development, we have created a very simple and intuitive editing app together with communicators in the public sector. FN´s standardized symbols for communication with people who, for example, cannot read. Special function for visual interpretation, which is required for video published by the public sector. Graphic templates for accessibility-adapted fact boxes and nameplates Contractor can easily be added via a unique picture-in-picture function. More different functions that help the user to follow the web directive. Automatic subtitle will come in the fall.

Approach and implementation

The work has been carried out agile and in about 14-day sprints. The project started with a larger digital workshop with communicators from municipalities, authorities, universities and the Church of Sweden. In the workshop, we analyzed the current situation, went through all the wishes and prioritized them among themselves. After about 75 percent had been coded, the group gave us feedback so that we could make some changes. We had hoped for a larger collaboration with Sima folk high school (deaf school) but our ambition is that they will make a good effort in the testing that will be in June.
