Important results from the project

The project "A scientific contribution from SLU to the comprehensive planning in the municipality of Staffanstorp", primarily aimed at contributing with researcher competence to the ongoing planning process and establishing collaboration regarding teaching and research. These objectives have been fulfilled and the collaboration continues beyond the formal project period, for example through continued cooperation regarding the comprehensive plan, teaching collaboration, joint participation in the new research project and possible future research collaboration.

Expected long term effects

Results: Finished consultation documents (ÖP-Staffanstorp and FÖP-Flackarp-Höjebromölla), collaboration regarding undergraduate education, research grant (MAU, Formas), where researcher and architect in present project take part. Expected effects: The concrete planning work has not finished and the final result depends on political decisions. However, cooperation with the officials continues, which together with new research projects will have beneficial effects in the long run.

Approach and implementation

Concrete cooperation between municipal officials as well as teachers and researchers at SLU has been carried out mainly through continuous meetings with the working group and the political steering group, but also via distance work and e-mail. Documents have been authored, discussed and revised during the process.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
