Purpose and goal

The project aims to after step 3 having developed digital tool to calculate local climate goals in relation to national as well as the Paris agreement, inclusive of a local carbon budget; tools to monitor progress as well as computation of effects of mitigation options. In step 1 we have inquired into needs, what actors need to be involved and similar solutions present nationally and internationally.

Expected results and effects

Step 1 have resulted in an increased understanding of needs and solutions among participating persons and their organisations, development of supporting material and reports, partly in form of prototypes developed along the way in preparation for step 2 and 3. Multiple new contacts to potential project partners have been established.

Planned approach and implementation

Step 1 have been carried out in different work packages with a number of seminars and workshops coupled to those. Project management have been shared between the three organisations having most hours in the project. The design have been effective in addressing our complex challenge. During the length of the project a kind of prototypes have been developed to test and enhance our understanding of both the challenge and the solutions. Without continually working with prototypes it would probably have been difficult to progress due to the complexity of the challenge.
