Strategic innovation programs receive continued funding

After a comprehensive evaluation, five strategic innovation programs will continue to funding. The five programs are Drive Sweden, InfraSweden2030, Medtech4Health, Smart Built Environment and RE: Source.

The evaluation made in 2021 shows that the programs have contributed to broad collaboration and strengthened international competitiveness of actors who participated and to the mobilization and renewal of their respective areas. About strategic innovation programs

Vinnova, the Swedish Energy Agency and Formas fund 17 strategic innovation programs for collaboration in research and innovation that will contribute to creating conditions for sustainable solutions to global societal challenges and increased international competitiveness. The programs can receive funding for up to 12 years and the total public funding is SEK 8 billion, where the business community and other actors contribute the same amount. All programme undergo a comprehensive evaluation after six years.
