NFFP-AeroX: Technological breakthroughs for next-generation flight systems
Vinnova funds groundbreaking innovation projects that can enable system breakthroughs in aeronautics. The call for proposals is designed as a staged process where the projects, which may have a significant degree of uncertainty, test hypotheses and develop solutions for future aviation systems in three consecutive stages. Promising project results during Stage 0 can apply for additional funding in two rounds for Stage 1 and then Stage 2.
The offer in brief
What can you apply for?
Project to verify or reject novel ideas or hypotheses. Successful projects can then apply to Stage 1 to demonstrate their solution and then Stage 2 to validate the solution in a system context and a given scenario.
Who can apply?
At least two independent organizations shall participate, of which at least one is a company. The project consortium shall also be cross-functional and include expertise from areas beyond aeronautical engineering, particularly during Stages 1 and 2.
How much can you apply for?
Funding is provided in stages. Stage 0: 500,000 SEK for a project duration of four months. Stage 1: 2 million SEK. Stage 2: 5 million SEK. Funding in stages 1 and 2 requires the project to be granted continued support. Maximum aid intensity 50 %.

How to apply
To apply for funding from us, you need to fill in a longer application, which we then assess in competition with others. If we decide to finance your project, you need to report to us how the project is going, so that we can see that you carry out the project as you described in the application.
