Important results from the project
Together with the target group, Save the Children (StC) developed a service for capacity measuring based on repeated self-assessmenta. The tool has been tested and implemented in StC´s activities in socio-economic disadvantaged areas. We have already measured impact! The MVP for the analysis tool is done. The entire framework has been developed in collaboration with Accenture, Skandia, IKEA, Linköping University and the questions have been validated by Uppsala University. The next step is to create an attractive commercial offer for the market.
Expected long term effects
The tool is used in StC´s projects in socio-economical disadvantaged areas. Young people have been able to express their transitions, increased their self-confidence and awareness around discrimination and their rights. The questionnaires have been validated by researchers at Uppsala University. Via the MVP for the analysis tool, we have the opportunity to compare and analyze programs and activities. The next step is to further develop the analysis tool and implement the tool in more projects to gather more data points and scale the offer.
Approach and implementation
The app has been used in StC´s activities in socio-economic vulnerable areas in several locations since March 2019. Baseline measurements with two follow-ups (6 months in between) were completed and validated by Uppsala University. The analysis tool is available on a website and shows displays data collected. With the support of Vinge and StC´s lawyer, we have secured GDPR compliance and it has implemented in the app. During the autumn of 2020, more pilot projects will be implemented. For these, online materials are created to be able to introduce the tool digitally.
