Coordinator SVEMIN AB
Funding from Vinnova SEK 425 000
Project duration September 2019 - December 2020
Status Completed

Important results from the project

The objective of the work has been to develop a web-based training for exploration drilling and other drilling, in order to increase knowledge about, above all, environmental considerations and also safe work environment through an easily accessible and appropriate training. The project has developed a web-based training on environmental considerations, and contributed to a training on working environment, for exploration drillers and other drillers. The courses are available on the website: https://borrtekniker.se/

Expected long term effects

The courses are available to anyone who creates a user account on Borrtekniker.se. Anyone can get such an account. We expect that the courses will gain a growing number of users and thereby contribute to an increased knowledge of environmental considerations in connection with field work and exploration drilling and increased safety awareness in connection with drilling.

Approach and implementation

Design and implementation of the work have been based on existing knowledge compilations, mainly Svemin´s exploration guidance, which have been supplemented with additional information and images as well as questions and knowledge tests. The material has been reworked and adapted to be published and used on a website. The content of the courses has been communicated to people who are active in various areas and ways in the mining industry to ensure that it is relevant, maintains a reasonable level and is clear and informative. All in order to ensure an as good content as possible.
