Important results from the project
LiNPhA has interacted with the Singaporean quantum ecosystem where ideas and knowledge has been exchanged. LiNPhA is pursuing collaborations with several Singaporean entities in research, quantum infrastructure and satellite QKD. The delegation has been a successful facilitator for obtaining new partnerships (both within the delegation and with Singaporean entities). It is important that LiNPhA seizes these opportunities for collaboration, partnerships and validation.
Expected long term effects
Collaborations and partnerships with Singaporean entities are expected outcomes. If successful these partnerships and collaborations would validate LiNPhA prototypes in quantum key distribution (QKD) and data center infrastructures, lead to product development and customer relationship with a company in the QKD and satellite industry. These partnerships can hopefully foster more LiNPhA activity in Singapore given that integrated optics is a highlighted strategic technology for Singapore.
Approach and implementation
The delegation trip to Singapore was very well planned with meetings with the national quantum office (NQO), A*star, centre for quantum technologies, Ericsson in Singapore and SGInnovate. We were also able to attend a quantum industry day organized by NQO which provided first hand insights to the magnitude of Singapore´s quantum technologies efforts. For several of the planned meetings relevant guests/parties from the Singaporean side were present, adding value to the program.
