Purpose and goal

The main purpose of the project was to create knowledge-raising initiatives for young social entrepreneurs and to develop a support system of key people and tools that surround them. We have done this by developing a web training and inspiration day for key people and developing the digital platform Changemakers Yard to better suit young people´s needs for tools and inspiration. Through the project, we have gained a deeper understanding of our target groups´ needs and conditions.

Expected results and effects

The results of the SE-lyftet have shown that: 1) young people continue to have a strong interest in engaging in social change work, but that they lack the tools and mentors to realize this commitment; 2) teachers need a collective approach or common image of the school to work more integrated in the classrooms; 3) that the concept of ‘social entrepreneurship’ is confusing for both young people and teachers, and; 4) the importance of committed adults and mentors is crucial for many young people´s ideas to be realized.

Planned approach and implementation

The project has largely followed the original project plan with minor adjustments, however, this has not affected the end result. However, due to the spread of Covid-19, we had to make a major change in the implementation of the national inspiration day and present it digitally. By continuously implementing the project´s materials in both parties´ operations, we have created a broad arena and commitment, which has created positive conditions for the project´s survival.
