Project duration November 2012 - June 2013
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

In May The Paper Province submitted a complete application to the Vinnova Vinnväxt 2013 publication. The aim was, besides submitting the application, to gather participants from all the parts of Triple Helix but also to find strategies in how to include the civil society in the future work. The process has been a success and we now have a large number of participants that would like to join the project in the future. Scientists and experts have also been involved in the process to contribute in building future strategies according to new activities in gathering new innovations to the system.

Results and expected effects

Participants that have not previously met have started building relationships as a result of the project. We aim to uphold these activities, and even to immerse this relationsships, in the future. TPP as a cluster organization has all together come up with the strategic idea. The strategic idea is also a part of the regional cluster strategy of Värmland and not only a way to get Vinnväxt. In the long run The Paper Province 2.0 will come to create 1000 new jobs and 25 new companies as well as inventing processes where gender perspectives is an obvious driving force.

Approach and implementation

The project has basically followed the time schedule that was planned in the beginning. Activities that deviate from original plan do so because the working group decided that one large workshop was enough. Instead the working group gathered experts in different fields and invited them to the project meetings. The large workshop was arranged together with the other regional clusters and IVA (Kungl. Ingenjörsvetenskapsakademin). Incorporating the plans with all participants have been the single most important activity to win a broad acceptance of our application.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
