Purpose and goal
The project aims to give teachers the training materials that meet LGR 11 of the subject technology. The content will be in addition to giving students a knowledge in the subject also give students a positive image of different technology professions. The goal is that more young people will choose to work with technology.
Results and expected effects
The result of the project is that 50 000 copies of the New Technology book has been distributed to schools throughout Sweden. Through the book, students get a good picture of various technology fields and the inspiration to work with technology.
Approach and implementation
The book was published for the first time autumn 2011. A new edition was published in autumn 2014 to new students at secondary schools throughout Sweden. Part of the edition has also been distributed to upper secondary schools. Mainly to students who have not received technical training in secondary school, such as newly arrived refugees.
