Important results from the project

The project fulfilled its goal of delivering an educational training in the metallparadox and design thinking to a new and diverse group of participants. The project also managed to include new interviewees and gain new stories on the complexity of the metallparadox. Throughout the training, most participants seemed to build new connections across the group, allowing potential partnerships to grow.

Expected long term effects

Potential impact at varying levels includes: (1) metal paradox - some of the participants may create or join innovation projects around the challenge of metallparadox, contributing with diverse network and capacities. (2) design thinking - participants might change their innovation practices in their respective context, by including a more designerly approach. (3) partnerships - participants may reach out to one another to form new partnerships around their respective challenges.

Approach and implementation

The project hosted a 2-day training on design thinking, focusing on the challenge of the metal paradox. This was the third training to be given. The project built on previous materials and design of the training, while reaching out for a slightly adjusted target group with the purpose of breaking silos and generating new connections. To attract this group, the project reached out to diverse individuals in their existing network who helped generate a snowball effect.
