Important results from the project
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project aims to explore the conditions for evaluating health promotion initiatives at local / municipal level. The project focuses specifically on a test environment where efforts to reduce the proportion of young children with overweight and obesity can be tested. The project work has been carried out in collaboration with various administrations and decision levels within Värnamo municipality. Learning has been created about both the conditions for implementation and specific issues regarding targeted interventions.
Expected long term effects
The project has created a broad learning around the implementation of a testbed for health promotion initiatives at local / municipal level for children and young people. A testbed offer has been identified as a strategic contribution to a municipality´s work with social sustainability. A long-term effect logic related to healthpromoting initiatives has been developed, and is reflected in a concept for an implementation project. The project has thus, from a system perspective, contributed to better health for children aged 0-6 years.
Approach and implementation
It has been a challenge from an abstract but unanimous starting point, to get us to the promised deliveries in the preparation project. Building a testbed for health promotion efforts with the aim of understanding what happens at the system level in various interventions is a journey that has only just begun. The project has given us new and common insights that are important in our ambition to move forward with an application for an implementation project. Starting from the municipality´s needs and conditions is of great importance.
