Important results from the project
For a new group of materials like graphene and other 2D materials to be utilized quickly and efficiently, relevant standards need to be in place. To secure the relevance of the standards, Swedish key players such as the graphene suppliers need to participate in the standardization work. The project has forfilled it´s objective, to increase the involvment of SME´s in Swedish graphene standardization.
Expected long term effects
The strategic project has removed obstacles for Swedish graphene suppliers involvement in standardization work by supporting four SME´s participation in SIS working group for graphene during 2020 and 2021. This has strengthened the Swedish position in standardization of graphene.
Approach and implementation
An invitation to SME´s to apply for a standardization check has been marketed through SIO Grafens´s website siografen.se, newsletter, social media and to the Swedish Graphene Suppliers Association. Applications received have been evaluated by the program director and the chairman of the board. Four companies that have not previously participated in standardization work have been activated in the area through the project.
