Purpose and goal

Tests within the BFP-project More Timber Less Sawdust have shown that it is possible to use saw blades that are 1 - 1,5 mm thinner than blades that are used today. The tests show that it is also possible to use thinner saw blades without using saw guides. We have in order to achieve these results during normal everyday operation developed and started a process control system. The main objective of the project is to transfer knowledge between the sawmills that use the process control system and transfer knowledge between researchers and the industry.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
