Planning for collaboration with Canada

Important results from the project

The aim of the project was to establish contacts with actors in the Canadian forest industry and to plan for an application for a development project. Both objectives have been met; several new contacts in Canada have been established and the project has contributed to the completion of an application for a major development project.

Expected long term effects

Through the project, the participants have established several new contacts in Canada, partly with research organizations and partly with companies in the forest industry. The project has contributed to the submission of an application for a development project and the planning of more collaborations.

Approach and implementation

Originally, the idea was to travel to Canada to meet and discuss with various actors on the spot, but due to the pandemic this was changed to include a number of digital meetings. This has worked very well and we have been able to spend more time on content than on travel.
