Important results from the project
MONALISA 2.0 has aimed at improving safety, environmental performance and efficiency by Sea Traffic Management and Concrete pilot actions. All parts of the Project have been accomplished and the aim of the Project achieved.
Expected long term effects
A standardized Route Exchange Format has been developed and become an international standard. The European Maritime Simulator Network (EMSN), which is the first of its kind, has been established. A comprehensive definition phase of Sea Traffic Management has been carried out, using the methodology from the civil aviation. In the definition phase, the current situation has been described and analised, a target concept of Sea Traffic Management has been elaborated A STM Master Plan, which also encompasses a Strategic Roadmap and a Work Programme, has been developed.
Approach and implementation
The Project has been implemented according to the Project plan and the budget. The progress has been reported to the relevant member states, INEA and Vinnova. The final results have been communicated and disseminated at the MONALISA 2.0 Final Conference on the 10-11 November 2015.
