The project result gives security management and emergency services feasible, fast and user friendly technology to localize and inform individuals globally in the case of a nearby safety threat or emergency. This indirectly and directly results prevent morbidity and mortality and increase global organizations abilities to manage their organization.

Results and expected effects

The developed technology has been integrated with GWS´s security and communication services and will be part of new services such as a mobile phone based emergency button. A patent application has been submitted and is being reviewed. Some of the Nordic´s leading international companies have signed up for services based on the developed technology. GWS has expanded their sales internationally, found new partners and been contracted to implement the technology on other business areas.

Approach and implementation

The general approach and execution of the project has been effective. Minor deviations during the course of the project have been an addition to the budget for the patent processes and an increase of the proposed control group for testing. Early on GWS decided to more than double the control group to 100+ individuals to get a more comprehensive set of test data for analysis. Due to the increase in test data the second round of result analysis was extended by one and a half week. This did not affect the general deadlines and time frames for the project.
