Purpose and goal

Generation of a Collaborative Innovative Business Model which meets triple bottom line to address overall objectives through social innovation such as social Job creation, sustainable local production for the local market, a second life to textile product, less incineration and exporting and CSR service. Feasibility study for starting up the down-cycling production of products with promising market demand, minimized environmental impacts, maximized job creation, reasonable financial requirement.

Expected results and effects

The Wiping Rag Clothes product case was the result of the second phase of the Loop Koop project. The business case, considering the production potentials and capabilities of the project stakeholders and the demand in the market is proven to be feasible. This business case provides the high potentials for job creation and addresses the textile waste management issues through minimizing the waste, working in a network with other actors and bringing second life to the used textile products.

Planned approach and implementation

Assessment of each product´s detail and estimating market demand which led to identification of customer and competitors. In order to fulfill the product portfolio, product quality and functionality was assessed. Then holistic view of participating actors in the market was achieved through field travels and documentation. Based on the results of products development and market research phases, sale and demand, forecasting as well as price range was conducted for the candidate product case. This will be better achieved through introduction of advisory board for Loop Koop.
