Project duration August 2015 - June 2016
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The purpose of VINNOVAs Leadership laboratory was to improve the use of research-based knowledge in the public sector. The researchers´ role in the project was to participate in the planning and execution of workshops and to provide knowledge and enhance learning. The researchers´ support included to provide knowledge on the conditions for innovation, development and change in the public sector. This included interaction in different constellations of researchers, process leaders, organizational consultants and public sector representatives.

Expected results and effects

The long-term effect of the Leadership lab is to increase the range of professional services offered to support innovation and development in the public sector. All organizational consultants also developed current or new service concepts. Some conclusions are that the initiative and the service development would benefit from a longer or more intense project process, and that opportunities for consultants to establish a contract for extended development processes are limited and will require new approaches from both consultants and public sector organizations.

Planned approach and implementation

The project ran from March 2015 to June 2016 divided into four work packages: A. Detailed planning of content and implementation. B. Knowledge support, primarily for service developers, which refers to the researchers´ input in the joint workshops and interactions. Knowledge Support for service developers is the premier and most comprehensive task for the researchers in the Leadership Lab. C. Analysis D. Final report

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
