Important results from the project

Peafowl Solar Power is a company focused on researching and developing a new type of transparent solar cells based on plasmonic nanomaterials. The company´s ambition is to bring into the market in the next two years several products with our solar cells integrated. The IP check contains clear recommendations for handling inventions and a good strategy for handling all intellectual property assets. The set of goals for the project are met.

Expected long term effects

The result is an action plan with clear recommendations for our company to ensure that we control all intellectual assets generated by our employees, collaborators, or partners. This action plan´s immediate effect is for Peafowl to strengthen the IP portfolio, improve its partnerships contracts, and link the IP strategy´s development with its revenue streams for different scenarios. Also, having developed an excellent IP plan will increase our chances of future capital increase.

Approach and implementation

The project work has been carried out with the patent office AWA, with two of their consultants. We have had several digital discussions due to the current Covid pandemic. Despite not having of face-to-face meetings, we were able to set out our objectives, and the consultants were able to deliver the results on time. The consultants sent reports after each central moment in the analysis, and we were also able to discuss and ask for changes that would be specific to our current situation. This work format has resulted in a plan that is very valuable for our company.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
