Highly efficient biomolecular NMR services on a cloud based plat-form

Reference number
Coordinator VO-MATH AB
Funding from Vinnova SEK 500 000
Project duration December 2015 - September 2016
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The TAP platform prototype is implemented and ready to process NMR datasets using the variety of NMR processing algorithms, such as MDD, IST, IRLS, LR. The platform offers many advanced features, including automatic detection of the experiment types, and performing automated processing on the TAP server. It also allows for interactive graphical preview of experiments, both before and after processing. A market survey has been done to understand specific customer needs. A proposed total legal structure has been defined

Expected results and effects

TAP platform is ready for processing NUS datasets from NMR spectrometers. Platform offers access to the most advanced algorithms known in this field, and has a very user-friendly interface. Therefore, it is the first available on the market solution allowing processing of the NUS datasets without requiring users to have fast computers and deep professional knowledge of processing details. We found that individual customer segments need to be addressed differently. The first legal priority should be to ensure the IP fundamentals for V-O Math.

Planned approach and implementation

The User Interface was based on JavaScript framework. To guarantee the best user experience, architecture design was based on the Google Material Design principles. The data storage is implemented on a cloud infrastructure. Currently the computational server is scaled to one server, which simulates the computational cloud, to be fully scaled to N-servers in production mode. As the current demand for computational power is limited, there is no need to do it now. We have defined how to address the customers differently. We have defined what are the first legal priorities.
