Funding from Vinnova SEK 25 000
Project duration September 2018 - December 2018
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The main purpose of the projects is to provide people, w ho believe or know they are in danger of getting a cognitive disease, access to an easy-to-use tool. An aid that provides a reliable self-test, such as in case of suspicion of illness, helps the person to come into contact with a medical specialist and, in case of a diagnosis risk or illness, also help change his or her lifestyle. We want to improve the ability to self-test their cognitive ability to see if one is at risk of cognitive disease and to relieve the healthcare burden on society.

Expected results and effects

To create a credible and evaluated application so that anyone that worries about having dementia can have access to and can receive assistance. To create an ICT-based dementia diagnosis with the same assurance as a traditional dementia investigation. Providing individuals at risk of developing or having cognitive disease with a lifestyle change tool. In addition, the trip with Vinnova to china is intended to help facilitate connections to make our vision a reality in that market and help spread swedish knowledge to a much needed population in china.

Planned approach and implementation

Geras plan is to launch in China within the 2nd or 3rd quarter of 2019. We have already made some partnerships with large Chinese organisations, but wish to facilitate this further with the visit with Vinnova to China. The goal is also to eventually move to China, so this trip will only help Geras raise more awareness about its mission and ensure that launching will be a success. At the same time, as the goal is to launch in China and to move there we see great opportunity in working within the Vinnova network to make the transition a success.
