Important results from the project
Freeze/thawing process will be evaluated to assess possibilities to dewater sewage sludge from a dry content of approx. 20% to >40%. This will make combustion, use as fertilizer, energy resource etc possible in China and elsewhere. A continuous process with freeze/thaw in thin layers is aimed at. Cooperation with companies FriGeo AB (freeze/thaw) and Euroby (contacts in China and drying). City of Boden will contribute with sludge and advice in work environment issues. A demonstration facility will be developed. A sustainable network in sludge treatment technology will be created.
