Important results from the project

The EAST project (Evolving the Automotive Supply Chain with new Technologies) has been carried out as a feasibility study with the aim of developing collaboration and information exchange between parties in the automotive supply chain with new technologies. The project has been divided into the following streams: - EAST-1: Information sharing during the life cycle of EV batteries - EAST-2: Development of the automotive supply chain The project has clearly shown opportunities for innovation and development. New projects are under start-up and planning.

Expected long term effects

EAST-1: Through external analysis, contact has been established with globally leading initiatives. Continuation projects are planned with an expanded consortium. The project has contributed to gather knowledge, the anchoring of EU legislation and preparations for industrialization. EAST-2: The project has highlighted innovation and improvements. Continuation projects have already been started and more projects can be expected. Future effects are expected to result in increased logistics efficiency and more efficient IT implementations.

Approach and implementation

EAST-1: The project has analyzed different collaboration models for information exchange between stakeholders during the life cycle of EV batteries. Contact has been established with globally leading initiatives. EAST-2: Based on a survey and gap analysis, the project has focused on how increased digitization and new technologies can develop the supply chain.
