Purpose and goal
The aim of the project phase A has been fulfilled in that a national platform for daily alarm response has been developed. The platform shall influence global and European security research and development, in particular the prioritizations in Horizon 2020 Secure Societies. It has also fulfilled the phase A goals which included 1) that the topic of daily alarm response is represented in Horizon Secure Societies from 2016 and onward and 2) that the platform/area participates in applications from 2015 and onward.
Results and expected effects
The project potential and expected outcome in a long-term perspective includes faster alarm response and more effective response operations, in daily alarm response but also related to management of large-scale crises. The effects in both cases include more saved lives, reduced human and material damage and, thereby, decreased costs for society. For Sweden the expected outcome is increased competitiveness for research and development in the security area. The outcome of phase A is a national platform embracing app. 30 relevant Swedish actors from academia, industry and end-users.
Approach and implementation
In the phase A the following activities were performed: 1) Identify and involve actors, 2) Identify the interests, competences, needs, resources and roles of actors and 3) Create a common vision and a plan for the platform activities directed toward Horizon Secure Societies and initiate such activities. Much of the work was performed in workshop format. The work of phase A has been comprised to a report describing the platform activities and providing a detailed plan for ensuing work and influental activities directed toward different target groups.
