Important results from the project
The objective of the Bi-lateral research project ´CTS-FOT´ was to collect real traffic driving behaviour in China during 2014-2016. Eight Volvo S60L vehicles were equipped with data loggers, and where used by Chinese drivers in Shanghai, during 10 months. The drivers used the vehicles for two months each. Totally almost 200.000 km of driving data has been collected during the project.
Expected long term effects
It was expected to collect about 200.000 km of driving data in real traffic in China. More than 130.000 km of driving data was collected and analyzed.
Approach and implementation
The CTS-FOT project implemented and adjusted the euroFOT methodology to China focusing on a section of issues within test management technology and data management technology. The CTS-FOT performed analysis in the following four areas: Driver behaviour-Typical Driving Scenarios and calculating odds ratios Driver behaviour - other traffic participants Speed changing when driving straight through the intersections Evaluation of ADAS systems
