Important results from the project
The purpose of the project was to create the preparations for an implementation project of a POC regarding an automatic cargo tracking system that will be able to identify a unique products location and movement in an indoor environment. - Partners are identified and ready to collaborate - The competition analysis is completed - Appropriate material for RFID tag is identified - Appropriate electronics components, frequencies and algorithms are identified - Activity for increased focus on gender equality is addressed in the project application - The project application is submitted
Expected long term effects
We have identified partners, Schenker, BTF and Smålands Logistik. Competition analysis is done and we do not find an equivalent solution. Material for the RFID tag has been identified. Appropriate electronics components, frequencies, algorithms for the central unit are identified and we see no need for partners for construction to be able to perform the POC. Activities for increased focus on gender equality in the project have been developed. Documentation for the project application (implementation project) is produced and proposal is submitted.
Approach and implementation
We have focused on four main activities during the feasibility study. - Anchoring with partners - Conducting a competition analysis - Analyzing technical solution and possible partners - Preparing for an implementation project In the project we have met Schenker, BTF and Smålands Logistik and all have shown interest in our idea and want to participate in the coming work. The basis for the competition analysis has been through search of information on the Internet and documentation received from Schenker. Tests to identify appropriate material for RFID tag have been performed.
