Important results from the project
Adsorbi has developed a cellulose-based material that captures air pollutants and can be used in, for example, air filtration systems. The purpose of the project has been to accelerate Adsorbi´s development work by enabling quick and easy evaluation of adsorbent materials for air purification. This has been accomplished by setting up a test rig in the lab where materials can be tested in an airflow and which simulates an air filtration system.
Expected long term effects
The project has proceeded as planned and achieved the expected results: build and validate a test rig with advice from air filter companies, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop a plan for future evaluation strategies. The test device that has been built has, after a number of iterations, been able to be used as a tool to evaluate the ability of adsorbent materials to capture pollutants.
Approach and implementation
The project has been planned based on a number of objectives linked to the activities in the project: 1. Identify an attractive design for a test rig 2. Plan purchases to build the test rig 3. Build a first version of the test rig 4. Evaluate the quality of the test rig 5. Create a plan for future evaluation methods The project also had several milestones to evaluate that the project was proceeding according to plan.
