Important results from the project

Emigreat has created an adaptable legal framework to ensure that its software complies with legal requirements in migration processes. We also developed strategies for scalability. The legal framework is structured to isolate each legal requirement individually and group those based on EU law. By automating processes and including legal support in the software in the form of references to legal basis, Emigreat´s tools become an invaluable asset for both workers and employers, providing security in their pursuit of legal compliance in the migration process.

Expected long term effects

Our market analysis identified three industries where migration processes are common in employment, as well as which parts of the processes customers find most challenging. This clarified which customers and processes Emigreat should prioritize in its expansion. The adaptable legal framework that was developed demonstrates that the software can be built in a legally secure manner and maintain compliance over time. The migration processes can also be automated. However, the inclusion of all possible migration procedures requires significant work ahead.

Approach and implementation

I. Market research: Analysed Migrationsverkets data on work permits, both quantitative and qualitative. Conducted a qualitative analysis of survey responses of several customers from various industries. II. Developed a legal framework that is scalable: Compiled a report on the legal compliance of Emigreat´s software. The framework was developed and test cases were conducted to confirm the feasibility of implementing it as software. The technical team verified the technical feasibility of developing the software based on the framework.
