Important results from the project
The main goal of the project was to develop, build and commercialize our standardized grow boxes that integrate with existing logistical solutions. We also developed a method to re-use the waste streams from the operations of our customer and transformed them into sellable products.
Expected long term effects
Succeeded in developing 2 grow units for crop development of indoor farmed leafy greens and mushrooms. Succeeded in transforming waste streams from an indoor vertical farm into sellable products.
Approach and implementation
Hardware development. Design & construct the modular grow units. Software development. Design & code the controls for the grow units. Waste valorization & build small prototype production facility for that. Commercialization (first step with customer pilot)
