Antibiotic resistance causes 33,000 deaths and 870,000 lost person-years in the EU annually and those hardest hit are children, the elderly and the multi-sick. This complex health challenge requires many types of action and commitment from all sections of society.
Did you know that 60 percent of everyone over the age of 65 is at risk of malnutrition? One-fifth of Sweden's population is soon over 65 years old and it costs SEK 10,000 more per day of care to care for a malnourished patient. The environment for "Zero vision for malnutrition in the elderly" will develop a strategy to solve this.
On behalf of Vinnova, during the fall of 2022, Sweco has carried out a learning follow-up of the first two years of the program Visionsdriven health, i.e. the first of the program's three stages. This report summarizes the results from the follow-ups of the five innovation environments. The follow-up has focused on issues such as goal achievement, working methods, opportunities and obstacles as well as Vinnova's role and support.
