Important results from the project

The initial studies in the project showed that the project team found both very promising methods and equipment for removing binders from recycled glass wool. Due to the circumstances described in the amendment case, these cannot be evaluated practically in the project.

The results generated can provide a shortening of the initiation phase for a future recycling project.

Approach and implementation

The initial phase of the project, which included the identification and evaluation of the most promising methods and equipment for removing binders from recycled glass wool via literature studies and by expanding the scientific network, was carried out according to plan. Due to the circumstances described in the amendment case, these methods could not be tested in practice.
