Important results from the project
Spray2 aims to map the prerequisites for testing and verifying predictive and warning sensor technology and detection algorithms under the influence of rain and fog. The aim of the project is to provide a test method with repeatability and safety as well as good economy. Have largely met this goal but needs some improvement in some sections
Expected long term effects
At the plant at AstaZero weather conditions can be repeated with both, rain and fog. However, in the experiments it was noted that the variations in intensity, especially in the case of rain, were relatively large. However, it can be improved in a stable test environment through storage tank and controlled water flow.
Approach and implementation
Define references on desired test conditions using the Academy (MIU) Ensure that the references are traceable as well as transferable to AstaZero´s demonstration facility. Validate whether the test methodology works in a closed environment
