Purpose and goal
The purpose of the project is to strengthen Lund and Malmö´s ability to use innovative IoT solutions in order to develop and improve operational efficiency and to act as a test arena for Swedish IoT industry, specifically focusing on public spaces. The goal is to create services, methods and processes that can be copied and used by other public organizations.
Expected results and effects
The project will both streamline the process how public services can benefit from innovative IoT solutions in the business and implement at least 10 specific IoT solutions within the chosen thematic area. Furthermore the project also establish an open testbed for IoT and will have dedicated resources for SME and entreprenurial support regarding using the benefits of IoT to strengthen their business. This project continues the joint effort regarding IoT solutions and connects strongly to the work in progress and strategies both in Lund and Malmö.
Planned approach and implementation
With support from leading actors in industry and academia, the project will drive 10+ demanddriven activities based on innovative IoT soutions. Main characteristics of the project are: 1) Focus on smart public environments 2) A strong project team 3) Demand driven 4) Focus on openness 5) Support innovation and entrepreneurial actors 6) Open and shared IoT test beds.
