Important results from the project
The goal of this project was to build a first prototype of an algorithmic system that can optimize the sustainability of e-commerce. After a very challenging time, the group succeeded in this, and looks forward to the sustainability improvement that the system has the potential to achieve.
Expected long term effects
The result of the project is that Skrym has now succeeded in creating an MVP that can be offered to e-shops, which further makes it possible to test the insights that came from our interviews and observations from e-shops. We expect that the effect of having achieved this is that Skrym has a much greater potential to have a sustainable impact on the value chain, as we hopefully through our pilot customers can get "ambassadors" who open up opportunities for new collaborations for more impact.
Approach and implementation
We tried to avoid the usual pitfall that startups have in not working in a structured way - and instead chose to have some clear structural process elements, such as two daily meetings about how everything went, and to use a process board to define the development tasks. The most important thing, however, was to allow space for critical thinking, because during the course of the project we came to understand the problems even better, which of course needed to result in fine-tuning of target images and activities.
