Important results from the project

The project consisted of examining the conditions for, and creating a first working prototype of a digitized measuring method for how an individually optimized seat needs to be designed. The method should give both customer and product suppliers an impartial baseline to communicate around as well as visualizing facts about the individual´s design needs. During the course of the project, interest from potential actors, nationally and internationally, has been investigated, which has resulted in the conditions for continued development being considered excellent.

Expected long term effects

The project has been very successful where several physical prototypes of the measuring tool have been evaluated and valuable insights gained, both regarding physical as well as digital requirements, market strategies, business model and intellectual property. During the course of the project, additional potential customer groups in both the furniture and MC industry spontaneously showed great interest in the methodology and potential products optimized with the technology.

Approach and implementation

The project has focused on creating and building a sufficiently competent physical prototype to be able to verify both the handling methodology and other requirements characteristics in close collaboration with primary customers and partners. In addition, we have also collaborated with Almi Väst to further develop and evaluate the market and business perspectives. During the course of the project, workshops with customers and partners have provided very good conditions for further development in all aspects.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
