Important results from the project

We started this project with the ambition to further develop our solution for sustainability assessments, and through the project find a suitable partner and potential customer that wanted to collaborate in making sustainability in food products more transparent. We successfully established such a collaboration with a natural foods grocer in the United States. Together we explored their needs for sustainability assessments and designed a SaaS solution that allows them to handle gaps in product data and performs sustainability assessments in one initial product group.

Expected long term effects

The project resulted in a first version of a ready product built together with a tech partner. The solution allows our customers to close product data gaps in a structured way and view assessment across several sustainability dimensions on product level to make informed procurement decisions and in extension make assessments available towards end consumers.

Approach and implementation

The project was run through a series of workshops with our potential client where we: - Explored existing processes, needs and current challenges - Confirmed our understanding of those challenges and proposed a solution that would solve the needs and can be generalized into a product for similar customers - Based on feedback built a first version of the solution for user testing, implementing further improvements based on feedback
