Purpose and goal
The goal of launching version 1.0 of the preVet service for iOS, android and the web was achieved in February 2018. The first part of the work on creating a documentation and communication tool for horse owners and veterinarians was clarified. One of preVet´s aims is to help horse owners document the horse´s health to create good routines in everyday life. With good routines, wear and tear injury, welfare and infectious diseases are prevented. Another purpose is to facilitate and quality assure contact with a veterinarian or other expert in case of injury / disease.
Expected results and effects
preVet is available for horse owners and veterinarians / clinics to download via iOS, Android and the web. It contains features like: - improves handling of the animal in everyday life (instructional films, etc.) Do veterinarians provide better support for diagnosis (quality assurance) - reduces the need to seek answers to discussion forums (the horse owner gets expert help on the mobile phone) database that can be used for research and study of horse owner´s daily management, initially for 100´s of horses (based on voluntary involvement)
Planned approach and implementation
October 23 - December 22, 2017: Applications for iOS and Android as well as web developed and validated. 23 October - 22 December 2017: Information content was presented and examined together with participating horse owners and veterinarians. December 5, 2017: Launching web February 15, 2018: Launch app on iOS and Android December 5, 2017 - fortf: Marketing via web and social media January 7 - March 13: Creation of information films and other content for the app October 23, 2017 - February 15, 2018: Ongoing Test Use Launch was delayed slightly but otherwise everything went well.
