Important results from the project
During the project we carried out development activities, recruitment of test participants, a regulatory mapping and market preparation activities, including a delegation trip to Germany. The project was then ended early, which meant the full validation and launch plan were not completed. The work generated valuable insights into user needs, the technical conditions and the regulatory pathway.
Expected long term effects
The need for early warning signals in bipolar disorder remains and affects a large group of users, relatives and healthcare providers. The insights gained on data collection, regulatory requirements and market conditions reduce the risk in future development work. In the longer term a validated solution can contribute to fewer relapses, lower care burden and higher quality of life for the target group.
Approach and implementation
The project began in November 2025 and was run by a small team supported by clinical and regulatory advisers. Several activities were completed as planned, including development work, recruitment of test participants, regulatory mapping and market preparation.
