Important results from the project

Vaquita Technologies AB has successfully optimized hardware and software for VAQPro, an innovative comprehensive system for water quality monitoring. Through cooperation with leading suppliers and the development of an advanced edge gateway, we have achieved the project´s objective - to improve the accuracy and reliability of water quality monitoring, ensure market readiness through regulatory compliance and IP protection, and establish pilot projects with municipalities.

Expected long term effects

Vaquita Technologies has developed VAQPRO, a market-ready solution that improves water quality measurements. Successful pilot agreements with municipalities have been made. The project resulted in the creation of a reliable monitoring system, regulatory compliance, patents on measurement systems for new parameters, and market exposure. Please note that we are one month late in implementing the pilot testing due to hardware development delays. In addition, we have costs incurred during the month of March related to the implementation of the pilot and the patent process.

Approach and implementation

The project was run with internal expertise and external support. Internal development included research on sensor technology, research on new parameters, IPR activities, ISO10012, APIs, web applications, machine learning pipelines, firmware development and optimization of power consumption for better battery life. External contractors were responsible for edge gateway specifications, component selection and prototyping, while market research, customer relations and initial pilot contracts were handled by dedicated internal members.
