Important results from the project
The project´s objective was to prove the customer benefit and social impact of the service and to validate and develop the offer and the business model. Owing to Vinnova´s support, Omsorgsförmedlingen today has documented results that show the benefits of the service, for both customers and participating trainees. We have conducted extensive evaluations consisting of both surveys and in-depth interviews with customers and participating trainees. Based on lessons learned, we have developed the model and packaged a revised offer.
Expected long term effects
A total of eighteen young people, 18-25 years, participated in the two trainee programs that were implemented. Ninety percent got a more positive attitude towards working in elderly care. Ten out of eighteen chose to continue their work. One client wants to expand and scale up the project, as well as extend the trainee program. Based on a development project with a smaller municipality, we have designed a model adjusted to fit this customer segment. The goal is to launch and test the new offers the spring of 2022.
Approach and implementation
The project was carried out in the form of three separate pilot projects with three different customers, as well as with different start dates to enable an iterative, learning process. This made it possible to continuously evaluate and revise the model, which proved to be very valuable. Soon after the start of the project, we reached the insight that our current offer was perceived as too extensive for smaller municipalities. Therefore, a project was initiated with a smaller municipality to develop a business model that suits this customer segment.
