Purpose and goal
The purpose of the project was to investigate the possibility of offering digital software for tomorrow´s audible experiences in computer games. Within the project, optimizations and technical adjustments were required to provide competitive new real-time effects for multiple platforms and to a larger market. Different features and products have been prioritised based on customer needs and market analysis. The company launched its first products during GDC in Safransiso at the end of March 2018. The plan is that several products will be produced during 2018
Expected results and effects
The work has resulted in an in-depth knowledge of the technical challenges and opportunities that come with the various gaming platforms that the products aim to support. Two products are today optimized and ready to launch. Klevgränd plans is to start working with 1 but max 3 new major customers in the first year. Klevgränd plan is to initiate strategic projects and collaborations in order to over time increase sales while at the same time being able to meet any customer customization and support issues with major customers.
Planned approach and implementation
Technical analyzes and needs for adaptations have been investigated. Necessary optimization work to make the technology even more resource efficient and attractive has been implemented. Different customer segments and their needs have analyzed. The result has led to the prioritization of different functionalities. The analysis showed that especially two of Klevgränds real-time effects have the greatest market potential. An analysis of how the products should be packaged and how to, in to long run, increase a variety of potential customers (large and small) has been made.
