New method to treat perspiration and itching

Purpose and goal

Excessive swetting is a major social problem in virtually all cultures. Many people manage to deal with this with existing over-the-counter antiperspirants, but a significant number of people suffer severely because they are not effective enough. The purpose of the project is to develop a new technology with which one can adequately dose botox over larger areas through a cylinder covered with microneedles (today ordinary syringes are used) for a painless and efficient treatment of sweating.

Planned approach and implementation

Work together with product designers and plastic manufacturers to develop a prototype that enables painless injections of Botox for the treatment of sweating. The work takes place in close collaboration with a skin clinic at a major Swedish hospital.
