Important results from the project

Nanolyze develops instruments for analyzing nanoparticles. The instrument is based on patented technology with unique possibilities to observe the particles in real-time without markers and with a sensitivity to single particles. The software is a key factor in making management efficient and easy through a smooth user interface, as well as for powerful analysis. The goal of this project was to develop a first generation of both analysis software and user interfaces for commercial use and implementation among pilot customers.

Expected long term effects

The main effect of the project is that we have made possible, the use of the technology outside our own lab with the specialist knowledge available there. End users are active in medical and biological labs and do not necessarily have the cross-border expertise in photonics and biology found in our own labs. Now, as dedicated application-oriented labs can discover how easy to use the technology is, we are paving the way for commercialization and making the technology available.

Approach and implementation

Through close cooperation with selected pilot customers, the software has been developed with a focus on ease of use and efficiency. We had a first prototype ready at the end of Q2 2021 that was delivered to pilot customers during August to create a concrete and iterative development process. This first version has, within the framework of this project, reached the high level required by implemented functionality, which in the next step will be the starting point for the development of software at the commercial level and with more specialized functionality.
