Important results from the project
The KLASSA project – Common Requirements Catalogues – by developing and validating a modern methodological and system support that translates complex EU and national regulation into practical application, has contributed to IoT Sweden’s programme goals of strengthened national IoT capability, systematic learning, and the scaling of socially beneficial solutions in the public sector. Beyond planned results, spin-offs included a new collaboration model and linkage to the SKR initiative dela.skr.se
Expected long term effects
The project is expected to contribute to a strong normative effect in the public sector through common and harmonized requirements. The results enable more uniform procurement and management of innovative solutions, with increased regulatory compliance and reduced uncertainty for both clients and suppliers. This strengthens the predictability of the market, facilitates the scaling of innovation and contributes to long-term robust, secure and sustainable digital solutions in the public sector.
Approach and implementation
The project was implemented in planned phases with close collaboration among project partners and continuous validation through real-world use cases. The overall design proved appropriate; however, the project was affected by the need to secure additional external funding, which caused delays. In parallel, the national implementation of EU cybersecurity legislation was postponed, partly neutralising negative timing effects. Collaboration functioned well, and the direction could be maintained.
